Calculate Marketing ROI 🎬
When you can track a positive return on your investment, you have the ability to literally PRINT MONEY.
How to Calculate Marketing ROI: I know so many businesses that DO NOT TRACK their marketing or advertising campaigns at all—or correctly.
Tracking your return on investment isn’t optional. It’s essential.
Think of it like trying to lose weight, but never tracking the calories you eat, the workouts you do, or the number on the scale. You’d be guessing. And in business, guessing costs money.
Here’s my quick ROI cheat sheet:
Know Your LTGP (Lifetime Gross Profit): How much PROFIT you make from each customer over their full lifetime—not revenue, but actual profit.
💡 LTGP = (Average Monthly Profit Per Client) × (Average # of Months They Stay)
Know Your CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost): Add up ad spend, software, sales commissions, employee time, etc.
💡 CAC = Total Campaign Spend / # of Customers Acquired
Run New Campaigns the Smart Way:
- 80% of what’s already working
- 15% of small variations
- 5% brand-new tests.
This balance lets you scale what works while still innovating.
Be Patient: Track results every other week, monthly, or quarterly. Most of our best-performing campaigns took 6 months to hit. Today, some average a 20X return. If we stopped at week 4? We’d have missed it all.
Track the Right Metrics: Depending on your goal, track:
Leads Generated
Calls Booked
Conversion Rate
Cost Per Lead
Sales Closed
Customer Retention
Adapt Based on Data: If it’s working—scale it. If it’s not—adjust. No more guessing. Let the numbers lead.
This is why we create video the way we do:
To drive results you can track.
Whether you’re focused on sales, recruiting, or brand awareness, every video should have a measurable goal tied to real business outcomes.
For example → If your business does $10M in revenue, a 1% increase in sales from a compelling brand story video = $500K over the next 5 years. That’s the power of investing with ROI in mind.
As promised, value in 60 seconds.
