They Don’t Know Unless You Tell Them 🚨
Here’s one thing that took me five years in business to really understand…
Clients don’t know as much as we think they do.
I used to assume they understood:
All the services we offer
The hours of prep and behind-the-scenes work
What to expect in the process
How to actually get the best ROI
But the truth?
They usually don’t.
Even if you’ve said it once… you probably need to say it ten more times.
For years, I’d have one conversation, toss out a proposal price, and move on.
Meanwhile, I was silently accounting for 20–40 hours of work the client had no clue was built into that number.
The fix was simple:
Tell them everything.
Now, every proposal breaks down:
What we’re doing
Why we’re doing it
How long it takes
And how it adds value to the final outcome
The shift has been huge.
Clients feel seen.
They understand the process.
And they view us as the team that actually “gets it.”
If you want better clients, smoother projects, and easier approvals—over-communicate.
They don’t know unless you tell them.
