Don't Believe Everything You Think

There’s a quote that I have taken to heart that says…

“Don’t believe everything you think.”

Have you ever looked back in your past, and realized that something you believed with all of your being was actually so dumb or silly?

What kind of person would believe something so ridiculous?

Something so insane?

Definitely not me! (hahaha)

The truth is, that is life!

We learn every single day through our own failure or through learning from other peoples failures.

And if we do it right, year after year we should be growing.

Now… how does this relate to marketing or advertising your business?

I have this same mindset when brainstorming creative for a client.

No idea is too dumb.

No idea is too simple.

I will not allow my mind, my opinion, my current beliefs to get in the way of the creative.

Instead, I will TEST EVERYTHING,

and only judge the creative based on ONE THING…

How the consumer reacts.

If the goal is sales → How many sales did this generate?

If the goal is more employees → How many employees did this help us hire?

If the goal is views → How many views did this generate.

  1. Define Your Outcome

  2. Test Every Idea

  3. Measure What is Working (or not)

  4. Change Your Approach Until It Does

That’s how you create marketing that ACTUALLY works for your business.
